My joke cake for my husbands 40th birthday. It was a fruit cake but not a fruit cake as you know it....98% fruit and 2% buttercream. He was having his real cake on his birthday weekend so I made it melon and berries. Buttercream was round the melon so he got a surprise when he cut into it. It went down a treat and tasted amazing!

Wedding cake delivered for a wedding at Findhorn. The bride and groom are very keen on fishing so this was incorporated into the design. The use of ombre ruffles really works to make it look like waves of the sea and also keeps the cake looking elegant. The flavour was fruit cake. Congratulations and have a fantastic day!!! x

However since it was for a 1st birthday I decided to slightly alter the design. I delivered this park theme cake this morning for a lady's husbands 50th birthday. She asked for a two tier cake with models of her family plus their dog playing in a park. She also asked for some bees on it as her husband is a bee keeper (how awesome!!). It was a delight to design and create this cake.
I was sent such a lovely email from the lady:
Thanks so much for the cake. It is absolutely fantastic!!! You are really talented for sure. Thanks so much for all the time and effort.
I hope your husband had a brilliant birthday, thank you for choosing me.

Princess Sophia the 1st cupcakes were collected today. These cupcakes were used to hand out at the end of a party as party bags. There was twenty-two in total and all individually wrapped with ribbon and tags attached (supplied by the customer) to thank the kids for coming to the party. Wrapping and ribboning them took a lot longer than expected but the result looks really sweet! The tags were a nice touch which the customer made herself.
The theme of Princess Sophia was captured by using purple buttercream to resemble Sophia’s dress. The Castles and crowns were then put on top to go with the theme. Each cupcake was personalised with each child’s name. To give an extra special touch the cupcakes were sprinkled with edible glitter because let’s face it….. Princesses are all about the sparkle!

Cake based on the computer game Minecraft was delivered today. The cake was vanilla sponge with chocolate buttercream inside. I think the cake is cute especially the wee pig. The lady who ordered the cake sent me a lovely thank you text message. Many thanks for asking me to make your son's cake.

This sunbed cake was collected today. It was a bit of a last minute order, I managed to get everything done apart from the roof of the sunbed. I did create the roof but I was not happy with the finish of it and thought it looked better without it. I feel disappointed that I didn’t fulfil the criteria, but I did however managed to source some lights to go on the cake in time so I hope that made up for the lack of roof. I don’t have a photo with the lights on the cake but when the cake was brought out I reckon it would have looked really cool.

I delivered this Boba Fett helmet cake this afternoon to a restaurant in Edinburgh. I loved making this cake and recieved a lovely thank you email from the lady who asked me to make it for her husbands birthday. It sounded like Callum had a pretty amazing birthday which involved alot of partying into the small hours. Thank you so much for asking me to make this cake for you and I am glad it was such a great success.

I delivered this 70th birthday cake this morning. I was a bit worried about getting it in my car as it was rather large. I managed to fit it in using the boot of the car. I was so excited about this cake, my very first engineered cake. This cake had a spinning propeller, which was activated using what appears to be a wireless fondant remote control, which had a switch to turn on the propeller.
This cake involved a lot of construction work. Pretty much everything is edible (excluding the remote control). The body of the plane was cake and even the wings and legs of the plane are edible. A marshmallow was used on the propeller, to give it the finished look.
I would like to say a massive thank you to my amazing husband for making this cake possible by sawing and drilling holes in the wood that i used to construct the design.
It was an absolute pleasure making this cake and seeing everyones reaction was priceless!! Check out the videos

The Dobbies team based in Lasswade asked me to create a photo printed cake of their manager who was leaving the office to start a new job the following week. I was looking forward to be able to use my new printer with edible ink. The resolution was great and it was fun adding a caption/phrase to it. The Dobbies team were very impressed with it.
I have not added a photo of the cake incase he didnt want his photo (or more the phrase, ha ha) displayed on my website. Thank you for asking me to make this cake.

This morning I delivered a Baptism cake. A very special occasion for them, wishing them all the best and many thanks for choosing me to make your special cake. Marbled cake with chocolate buttercream, handpainted angels and piped prayer on top.
- Other news for today:I am currently working on a very different type of cake for a 70th birthday (for end of this month), one that i have never attempted before. A lot of design work involved for construction of the cake. I am very excited about it (although i am with all cakes). I will give you more details later on... so watch this space!!

I delivered a two tier cake for a very lucky one year old. Cake was rainbow sponge and lemon buttercream. It's always so much fun making rainbow sponge. This lady wanted a suprise for the colours, so I chose red, yellow and green (christmas colours) since we had not long had christmas.
Wishing them a very happy day. Frist birthdays are very special and I know this first hand having only just had my son's not long before. 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to the birthday boy YANIS!

Very excited about creating a sugar tigerlily flower for a Golden Wedding Anniversary cake. A very special occassion. Feel very honoured to have been asked!
Here is the creation. Alot of hard work has paid off. Hand painted and I added gold dust to give it a sparkle. For extra special touch I added gold wire with swarovski beads and pearls.
